In 1947, Vincent Passanisi opened Santa Fe Importers at 1401 Santa Fe Avenue in Long Beach, carrying recipes from his native Sicily and the finest imported Italian foods. What began as a humble neighborhood deli became a beloved Southern California institution.
Over 75 years later, those same Sicilian recipes still guide every dish we prepare. Our house-made Marisa Brand label — born from demand for our homemade meats — now appears in Italian delis and restaurants throughout Southern California.
